There's a den hiding in our name.
Pattenden is an old place-name from Kent. The -den at the end comes from the Old English denn: a sheltered clearing in the woods. Long before websites, it was a place to gather, keep warm and make things.
The arch is the den
A rounded doorway, like a burrow or a hut in a clearing. Somewhere safe to start things.
The light is on
The lit door means someone's home and the door is open. Come in and have a look around.
